As a communications professional, I'm used to being the director behind the camera and really don't like having my photograph taken. I was a little nervous about doing a photo shoot, but also excited. Dorothy made it wonderful! It was so much fun trying different poses, different settings and lighting options, and choosing different outfits to see what photographed best on me. It was a unique and enjoyable experience and that was thanks to Dorothy's positive and upbeat coaching throughout the session. Even more than having my photo taken, I dread looking at the product. But once again, Dorothy knocked my socks off. She not only made me feel beautiful during the session, she made me look fantastic in the photos. She also did a quick shoot with my new puppy and got some outstanding poses, which is so hard with any dog, let alone a 4 month old pure black puppy. I've had so many wonderful compliments about the photos I have shared with friends and family, it feels great. Thank you Dorothy for such a positive experience and wonderful results.

IMG_0020 I first met Dorothy and instantly felt at ease with her. I later learned that she was an incredibly talented photographer. We were so fortunate to have her take photos of our wedding day. Not only was she the photographer, but she was the calming personality in the room, the bustle fixer and even the boutonniere runner! She went above and beyond what I’d expect any photographer to do. To top it off her photos were stunning. She was able to capture the real us and make us feel at ease with the thought of being in front of a camera. Dorothy hasn’t just been my friend and family photographer for almost 10 years; she’s been my personal photographer and inspirer. I’m not a model of any sort, but the images Dorothy always manages to capture of me make me feel both sexy and glamorous. I’m never ashamed of who I am when I look at or show off the photographs Dorothy has taken of me; in fact, I feel extremely proud of the person Dorothy has always seen in me.

One day I assisted Dorothy with a photo shoot and as she showed the young lady her pictures, the response was a breathless, “Wow, is that really me?” Some days, as I look at the photos that Dorothy took of me, I have the same response.

Dorothy is like a juggler as she keeps all aspects of a photo shoot session flowing smoothly. Besides making sure her model is comfortable, she makes sure the setting complements her model and that the lighting brings out the best.

She wants women to know deep inside themselves that, “Wow, that really is me.”

Now that I look at the images, I can't even pick them apart. It's self hate that started this for me, but I instead choose look at them with love and gratitude. I see my beautiful shiny hair that has finally grown out, I see my glowing fair skin and my stunning smile. This is me and I couldn't be happier.

Thanks for checking out my new beauty website :) I've been debating with doing this for so long and I'm glad that I finally did it!! I love shooting glamour sessions.  It's absolutely incredible to see someone grow from shy and a bit insecure to confident and loving the body that they have. This is definitely something that every woman struggles with at some point in their life and I hope in time to teach so many people how to love themselves for who they are inside and out.  I will admit it's been a personal journey for myself - I've literally doubled in size!! So trust me I can definitely relate to your insecurities but can also help you overcome them.  I'm here to tell you that you're gorgeous and if you book with me I will prove it!
